- Analyze usage patterns to improve the App's features and user experience
- Send important service announcements and updates
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues
4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We work with trusted third-party service providers to operate our App. These providers have access to your information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated to protect it:
Clerk
Authentication and account management. Clerk securely handles user sign-up, login, and session management.
Firebase
Data storage and analytics. Firebase stores your reading progress, preferences, and provides anonymous usage analytics.
RevenueCat
Subscription management and payment processing. RevenueCat handles in-app purchases and subscription status. We never see or store your credit card information.
Anthropic Claude
AI content generation. Claude generates reading passages based on topic categories. Your personal data is not shared with the AI; only topic preferences are used to generate relevant content.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- Encryption: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS/SSL
- Secure Authentication: We use Clerk for enterprise-grade authentication with support for multi-factor authentication
- Access Controls: Strict internal access controls limit who can access user data
- Regular Audits: We regularly review and update our security practices
- Secure Payments: Payment processing is handled entirely by RevenueCat and the App Store/Google Play; we never store payment information
While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to protecting your data using commercially reasonable measures.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to:
- Provide you with our services

If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except for data we are required to retain for legal or legitimate business purposes.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.
